Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How should I prepare for my initial acupuncture session?
  • Diet Guidelines: Avoid arriving on an empty stomach or immediately following an excessively heavy meal to ensure your clinical safety and comfort.
  • Clothing Selection: Wear or bring loose-fitting, comfortable clothing. This ensures efficient clinical access to essential zones on the lower legs, feet, arms, and spine without compromising your comfort.
  • Disclosure Requirements: If you are pregnant, suspect you might be pregnant, or are currently undergoing active fertility treatments, you must inform the practitioner during Step 1 prior to needle placement.
Can I swim or shower after my acupuncture treatment?
  • Showering & Bathing: Showering is safe after treatment once the micro-needle sites have naturally closed. However, we recommend waiting at least 2 hours before washing or touching the needled areas, and avoiding excessively hot water, saunas, or steam rooms for the remainder of the day to protect sensitive skin.
  • Swimming & Soaking: To avoid exposure to bacteria or pool chemicals while the superficial tissues recover, avoid swimming in public pools, hot tubs, lakes, or open water for at least 12 to 24 hours.
  • Physical Exertion: Refrain from strenuous workouts, high-intensity weight training, or heavy physical labor for the remainder of your treatment day to allow your body to process the therapeutic effects undisturbed.
